REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on October 19, 1987 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 110, State Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the verified application of Solar Petroleum, Inc. for an order to allow well No. 2BR [sic] Duell, located 604 feet from the south line and 2274 feet from the west line of Section 25, Township 8 North, Range 60 West, 6th P.M. to be used as an injection well for secondary recovery purposes in the "D" Sand reservoir.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      Solar Petroleum Inc., as applicant herein, is an interested party in the subject matter of the above-referenced hearing.

2.      Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

3.      The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

4.      On December 20, 1982, the Commission authorized Order No. 78-4 to be issued by which approval was given for a secondary recovery project by the injection of water to the "D" Sand reservoir underlying the S1/2 Section 25, Township 8 North, Range 60 West, 6th P.M., said lands consisting of common ownership.  The present injection well is at a location 1030 feet from the north line and 2350 from the west line of said section and is to be no longer used as an injection well.

5.      Based on the facts stated in the verified application and receiving no objection and having been heard, with exhibits submitted, by the Director as Hearing Officer on October 15, 1987 and recommended for approval, the Commission should enter an order allowing well No. 2 BR Duell, located 604 feet from the south line and 2274 feet from the west line of Section 25, Township 8 North, Range 60 West, 6th P.M., Buckingham West Field, Weld County, Colorado.

6.      Future injection wells may be approved by the Director that are in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Commission.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that well No. 2 BR Duell, located 604 feet from the south line and 2274 feet from the west line of Section 25, Township 8 North, Range 60 West, 6th P.M., Buckingham West Field, Weld County, Colorado is hereby allowed to be an injection well for the purpose of a secondary recovery program in the "D" Sand underlying the S1/2 of said Section 25.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that future injection wells may be approved by the Director providing they are in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Commission.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the above orders shall become effective forthwith.
