ORDER NO. 76-5

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on January 15, 1979 at 9 a.m., in Room 110, State Centennial Building, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider the rescinding of Order Nos. 76-1, 76-2, 76-3 and 76-4 for the Surveyor Creek Field, Washington County, Colorado.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      On October 11, 1955, the Commission issued its Order No. 76-1 which established 320-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of gas from the "D" Sand underlying lands in the Surveyor Creek Field.  The units consist of the N½ and S½ of a section.  Subsequent Order Nos. 76-2, 76-3 and 76-4 realigned certain units and deleted certain lands from the spaced area leaving the following described area as the spaced area for the Surveyor Creek Field:

Township 2 North, Range 52 West, 6th P.M.

Section 27:  S½, NW¼

Section 20:  E½

Section 28:  All

Section 21:  All

Section 29:  E½

Section 22:  N½, SW¼

Section 33:  N½

Section 34:  N½

4.      Since all wells producing gas from the "D" Sand in the area described in Finding 3 herein are now plugged and abandoned, and the only remaining wells within the spaced area are producing oil and in order to promote future development [sic] Order Nos. 76-1, 76-2, 76-3 and 76-4 are no longer necessary and should be vacated and the area described in Finding 3 herein, should be governed by the general rules and regulations of the Commission.


 

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Order Nos. 76-1, 76-2, 76-3 and 76-4 for the Surveyor Creek Field, Washington County, Colorado, are hereby rescinded and operations in the area as described in Finding 3 herein, shall be governed by the general rules and regulations of the Commission.
