CAUSE NO. 66

ORDER NO. 66-6

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on February 20, 1962, in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider further modification of Order No, 66-4 by the amending of Rule 2(a) thereof, to provide for semi-annual gas-oil-ratio tests of all producible wells.  No objection was presented at the hearing.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That at the present stage of depletion of the "D" sand reservoir of the Cliff Field, quarterly gas-oil-ratio tests are no longer required and Rule 2(a) of Order No. 66-4 should be modified.

4.      That semi-annual gas-oil-ratio tests should be taken until such time as the further depletion of the reservoir warrants their being discontinued.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Rule 2(a) of Order No. 66-4 is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Operators and owners of wells producing from the "D" sand formation of the Cliff Field shall make semi-annual gas-oil-ratio tests of each of his producing wells, and such tests shall be taken during the first fifteen (15) days of the months of March and September of each year; and the results of such tests shall be submitted to the Commission on or before the 25th day of the month of testing.  Each well shall be produced at its normal stabilized rate for a period of forty-eight (48) consecutive hours, and the gas-oil-ratio shall be computed on the basis of the measurement of oil and gas during the last twenty-four (24) hours of said 48-hour period.  A schedule shall be submitted to the office of the Commission and offset operators prior to testing, showing the wells and respective dates of tests.  The volume of gas measured shall be reported in units of cubic feet at a base pressure of 15.025 psia, and a base temperature of 60° Fahrenheit."

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that when, in the opinion of the Director, production from the reservoir has depleted to such an extent that the above tests are no longer necessary, he may direct that they be discontinued.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions of the order shall apply to all operators and owners of wells capable of producing from the "D" sand formation underlying the Cliff Field, and shall remain in effect unless otherwise authorized by the Commission.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERD, that the Commission expressly reserves its right after notice and hearing to alter, amend, or repeal any and/or all of the above orders, rules and regulations.

ORDERED this 20th day of February, 1962.
