IN THE MATTER OF THE PROMULGATION OF FIELD RULES TO GOVERN OPERATIONS IN THE GREENWOOD FIELD, BACA COUNTY, COLORADO	) ) ) )	CAUSE NO. 34 ORDER NO. 34-8        (Emergency)

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

The Oil and Gas Conservation Commission of the State of Colorado has previously issued its Order No. 34-1 and Order No. 34-2 which provide, among other things, for spacing of gas units of approximately 640 acres.

On November 18, 1966, the Shenandoah Oil Corporation filed with the Commission applications for an emergency order to exclude certain lands from the Greenwood Field, and for approval of a location for a well to be drilled in Section 12, Township 33 South, Range 42 West, 6th P.M., Baca County, Colorado.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That the Commission has jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

2.      That an emergency exists that requires immediate action and a modification of said Order No. 34-1 and Order No. 34-2 insofar as they pertain to the drilling of a well in Section 12, Township 33 South, Range 42 West of the 6th P.M., Baca County, Colorado.

3.      That Applicant states that the Topeka-Lansing reservoir underlying said Section 12 is a common source of supply underlying the Midway Field, which has heretofore been developed with one well for each 640 acres.

4.      That the drilling of said well 2640 feet south of the north line and 1320 feet east of the west line of said Section 12 will be in accord with the development in said Midway Field; and that operators of wells contiguous to said Section 12 have filed with the Commission letters of consent to said location.

5.      That the Topeka-Lansing reservoir underlying said Section 12 is not the same common source of supply as that underlying the greenwood Field, and should be deleted from said Order No. 34-1 and Order No. 34-2.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Order No. 34-1 and Order No. 34-2 in the Greenwood Field are hereby amended as to area by deletion of Section 12, Township 33 South, Range 42 West, 6th P.M., Baca County, Colorado, in order to allow a well to be drilled 2640 feet south of the north line and 1320 feet east of the west line of said Section 12.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions of the above order shall be effective for fifteen (15) days, commencing November 22, 1966.

ORDERED this 6th day of December 1966, and effective forthwith.
