ORDER NO. 34-16

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on May 21, 1984 at 9:00 a.m., in Room 110, State Centennial Building, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the two (2) applications of TXO Production Company for an order granting exceptions to the permitted well location as provided for in Order No. 34-1 for the Greenwood Field, Baca County, Colorado.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      TXO Production Corporation, as applicant herein, is an interested party in the subject matter of the above-referenced hearing.

 

2.      Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

3.      The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

4.      On July 14, 1954, the Commission issued Order No. 34-1, which among other things, established 640-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of gas from the Topeka-Lansing formation underlying lands in the Greenwood Field, with the permitted well located within 500 feet of the center of the unit.  By subsequent orders, certain lands were added and deleted from the spaced area.

 

5.      Based on the application and Exhibit No. A presented at the hearing, exceptions should be granted for, (1) a well to be drilled at a location 600 feet from the south line and 600 feet from the east line Section 31, Township 32 South, Range 41 West, 6th P.M. and, (2) a well to be drilled at a location 1980 [sic] from the south line and 600 feet from the west line [sic] Section 32, Township 32 South, Range 41 West,6th P.M., [sic] and that they be the permitted wells for the unit upon which each is located.

 

6.      No objection to the application was received.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that an exception is hereby granted for, (1) a well to be drilled at a location 600 feet from the east line and 600 feet from the south line [sic] Section 31, Township 32 South, Range 41 West, 6th P.M. and, (2) a well to be drilled at location 1980 [sic] from the south line and 600 feet from the west line [sic] Section 32, Township 32 South, Range 41 West, 6th P.M., Greenwood Field, Baca County, Colorado, and that each be the permitted well for the unit upon which it is located for the production of gas from the Topeka-Lansing formation.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions contained in the above order shall become effective forthwith.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above orders.
