OF THE STATE OF COLORADO

IN THE MATTER OF THE PROMULGATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF FIELD RULES TO GOVERN OPERATIONS IN THE LITTLE BEAVER FIELD, WASHINGTON AND ADAMS COUNTIES, COLORADO

)

CAUSE NO. 30

ORDER NO. 30-24

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on March 21 1967, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider changing the method of allocation of gas production among the separate tract; and adjustment of current overage and underage of gas production but in no event to change to more than 2400 Mcf per day the maximum allowed from the gas portion of the "J" sand reservoir.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That a withdrawal of a maximum of 1,400,000 cubic feet of gas per day from the gas cap portion of the "J" sand reservoir in the Little Beaver Field will not result in waste, and that therefore the provisions of Order No, 30-23 should be continued.

4.      That the overproduction of gas, as of March 31 1967, should be made up during the period April 1, 1967 to March 31, 1969, according to a schedule prepared by the Director of the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, but that after March 31, 1969, all provisions of Rule 4, Order No, 30-23, should again be applicable.

5.      That the difference (underage) between a well's allowable and the amount of gas a well is capable of producing should be distributed among the several wells in the gas cap which are capable of making their allowables, in the proportion that their percentage of the total gas cap allowable is to the total percentage of the allowables of all wells among which the gas is to be distributed.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Rule 4 of Order No, 30-23 is hereby amended as it pertains to the overproduction of gas from the gas cap portion of the "J" sand reservoir of the Little Beaver Field, Washington and Adams Counties, Colorado and the following rules and regulations shall apply.

Rule 1.    Overproduction of gas, as of March 31, 1967, shall be made up during the period April 1, 1967 to March 31, 1969 according to a schedule prepared by the Director, but after March 31, 1969, all provisions of Rule 4 of Order No. 30-23 shall again be applicable.

Rule 2.    The difference (underage) between a well's allowable and the amount of gas a well is capable of producing shall be distributed among the several wells in the gas cap which are capable of making their allowables, in the proportion that their percentage of the total gas cap allowable is to the total percentage of the allowable of all wells among which the gas is to be distribute.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend, or repeal any and/or all of the above orders, rules, and regulations.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the rules and regulations contained herein shall become effective April 1, 1967.
