CAUSE NO. 30

ORDER NO. 30-22

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on March 17, 1964, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, in accordance with the provisions of Order No. 30-21.

On March 11, 1964, Applicant, the Monsanto Chemical Company, filed with the Commission a Motion for further continuance of hearing in this cause to July 21, 1964; and for an order to be entered which would provide that no additional wells may be drilled for production of oil or gas in the "J" sand reservoir underlying the Little Beaver Field until after July 21, 1964. All operators present consented to this Motion.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That notice of the time, place, and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That Applicant states that much progress has been made in the effort to work out unitization of the gas cap area of the Little Beaver Field "J" Sand reservoir, and that agreement on many things necessary to unitization has been reached and a second draft of a unitization agreement is in the process of preparation; and that Applicant believes that unitization of at least a substantial part of the gas cap area will be accomplished, but that additional time is necessary for the further drafting and completion of the final form of unitization agreement, circulation of the same to the working interest owners and royalty owners, and execution and recording.

4.      That the Commission should continue in force until July 21, 1964, the provisions of its Order No. 30-20 which pertain to the drilling of additional wells for production of oil or gas in the "J" sand reservoir underlying the Little Beaver Field.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that hearing [sic] in this cause which was originally set for December 3, 1963, and continued to March 17, 1964, be further continued to July 21, 1964, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions of Order No. 30-20 which pertain to the drilling of additional wells for production of oil or gas in the "J" sand reservoir underlying the Little Beaver Field shall remain in effect until further order of the Commission; or, in the event the application of Monsanto Chemical Company is withdrawn, the aforementioned portion of said Order No. 30-20 may be rescinded by the Commission without further hearing.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend, or repeal any or all of the provisions of the above order.

ORDERED this 17th day of March 1964.
