CAUSE NO. 30

ORDER NO. 30-17

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on January 10, 1961, at 10:00 A.M., in Room 720, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of the Continental Oil Company, as Unit Operator of the Little Beaver "D" Sand Unit, Washington County Colorado, for an order approving conversion of Unit Well No. 13 to an additional water injection well.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law, and that all prerequisites to the granting hereof have been performed.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That the water injection project in the Little Beaver "D" Sand Unit should be continued to completion in order to minimize waste of oil and gas in the Little Beaver "D" Sand Field, and that the conversion of Unit Well No. 13, located in Section 33, Township 1 South, Range 56 West, to a water injection well,is [sic] essential for such purposes.

4.      That said well is located on the Unit within one mile of certain tracts outside the Unit, but that, according to geological and engineering information available, injection of water in said well will not adversely affect the correlative rights of any owner outside of said Unit.

5.      That the use and operation of said well as a water injection well will increase the ultimate recovery of oil and gas from the "D" sand formation of the Little Beaver "D" Sand Field, and prevent waste.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the Continental Oil Company, as Operator of the Little Beaver "D" Sand Unit, is hereby permitted and authorized to convert to a water injection well the Unit Well No. 13, located in the SW¼ SW¼ NW¼, Section 33, Township 1 South, Range 56 West of the 6th P.M., Washington County, Colorado.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above order.

ORDERED this 10th day of January 1961.
