CAUSE NO. 30

ORDER NO. 30-14   (Emergency)

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

The Oil and Gas Conservation Commission of the State of Colorado has heretofore established twenty-acre drilling and spacing units in the "D" sand, Little Beaver Field, Washington County, Colorado, by its Order No. 15-1, subsequently amended as to field limits, and has approved the Unit Agreement and Unit Operating Agreement, Little Beaver "D" Sands, by its Order No. 30-11.  On July 11, 1958, the Continental Oil Company, as Unit Operator, stated to the Commission that an emergency existed, and requested permission to drill a well off the established spacing pattern and within the Little Beaver "D" Sand Unit Area.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That the Commission has jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

2.      That an emergency exists which requires immediate action and a modification of existing orders in the "D" sand, Little Beaver Field, insofar as they pertain to the drilling of a well to be located 1010 feet from the north section line, and 2315 feet from the west section line of Section 6, Township 2 South, Range 56 West, 6th P.M., Washington County, Colorado; and that an Emergency Order should be issued in accordance with the provisions of 100-6-7(3) of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Act for the drilling of said well.

3.      That Applicant states that geological and engineering data indicate that to better evaluate the Unit Area and prevent the drilling of unnecessary wells, the proper location in which to drill a test well is the spot as set forth above.

4.      That Applicant has contacted all working interest owners in the Unit Area, and found no objection to the drilling of a well at the location described in Finding 2 above.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that an exception is hereby granted for a well to be drilled 1010 feet from the north section line, and 2316 feet from the west section line of Section Six (6), Township Two (2) South, Range Fifty-six (56) West of the 6th P.M., Washington County, Colorado.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that this order shall be effective fifteen (15) days, commencing July 11, 1958.
