CAUSE NO. 26

ORDER NO. 26-58

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on April 15, 1969, at 10 a.m., in Conference Room 260, Columbine Building, 1845 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing, as required by law, on the application of Union Oil Company of California, for an order to suspend Rule No. 8 of Order No. 26-30, subsequently amended and continued by Order Nos. 26-42 and 26-57, which rule pertains to a semi-annual datum reservoir pressure survey of certain key wells in the "J" sand formation of the Adena Field.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That testimony presented at the hearing indicates that due to the evidence of stabilization of the pressure in the "J" sand reservoir, datum reservoir pressure surveys are no longer necessary and Rule No. 8 of Order No. 26-30, subsequently amended by Order Nos. 26-42 and 26-57 should be suspended.

4.      That such suspension would not deprive the Commission of the right to request any information and data if deemed necessary to perform its duties of regulation, nor would it adversely affect the rights of the various operators, and would not defer the unit operator from taking such pressure surveys at such times as deemed necessary.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Rule No. 8 of Order No. 26-30, subsequently amended by Order Nos. 26-42 and 26-57, which rule pertains to a semi-annual datum reservoir pressure survey of certain key wells in the "J" sand formation of the Adena Field, is hereby suspended.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal the above order.

ORDERED this 15th day of April 1969.
