IN THE MATTER OF THE PROMULGATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF FIELD RULES TO GOVERN OPERATIONS IN THE CALICO FIELD, WELD COUNTY, COLORADO Cause No. 255 Order No. 255-3

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on January 21, 1980 at 9:00 A.M., in Room 110, State Centennial Building, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider the rescinding of Order Nos. 255-1 and 255-2 for the Calico Field, Weld County, Colo-rado.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1. Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2. The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3. On July 18, 1972, the Commission issued Order No. 255-1 which established 320-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of gas and associated hydrocarbons from the "J" Sand underlying the following described lands in the Calico Field, Weld County, Colorado, to-wit: Township 1 North, Range 61 West, 6th P.M. Section 23: S/2 Section 27: All Section 26: All Section 34: All Subsequent Order No. 255-2 amended Order No. 255-1 and designated the E/2 and W/2 Section 34, Township 1 North, Range 61 West, as drilling and spacing units.

4. Since all wells producing from the "J" Sand in the area described herein are now plugged and abandoned, and in order to promote future development, Order Nos. 255-1 and 255-2 are no longer necessary and should be vacated and the area described in Finding 3 herein, should be governed by the general rules and regulations of the Commis-s ion.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Order Nos. 255-1 and 255-2 for the Calico Field, Weld County, Colorado, are hereby rescinded and operations in the area as described in Finding 3 herein, shall be governed by the general rules and regula-tions of the Commission.
