IN THE MATTER OF THE PROMULGATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF FIELD RULES TO GOVERN OPERATIONS IN THE DULL KNIFE FIELD, ELBERT COUNTY, COLORADO Cause No. 235 Order No. 235-2

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on August 19, 1975 at 9 A.M., in Room 532, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider the rescinding of Order No. 235-1 for the Dull Knife Field, Elbert County, Colorado.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1. That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2. That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3. That on January 19, 1971, the Commission issued its Order No. 235-1 which established 80-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of oil from the "J" Sand underlying the following described lands in Elbert County, Colorado, to-wit:

Township 6 South, Range 60 West, 6th P.M. Sections 15 thru 22 and 27 thru 34: All with the permitted well located in the center of the NE/4 and SW/4 of each quarter section, with a tolerance of 200 feet in any direction.

4. Since the only producing well in the area was marginal and has since been plugged and abandoned, and in order to promote future development, Order No. 235-1 is no longer necessary and should be vacated and the area described in Finding 3 herein governed by the general rules and regulations of the Commission.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Order No. 235-1 for the Dull Knife Field, Elbert County, Colorado, is hereby rescinded, and operations in the area, as described in Finding 3 herein, shall be governed by the general rules and regulations of the Commission.

ORDERED-this 19th day of August, 1975.
