IN THE MATTER OF THE PROMULGATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF FIELD RULES TO GOVERN OPERATIONS IN THE BYERS FIELD, ADAMS AND ARAPAHOE COUNTIES, COLORADO Cause No. 234 Order No. 234-2

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 17, 1984 at 9:00 A.M., in Suite 380 Logan Tower Building, 1580 Logan Street, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the two (2) applications of MAZE Exploration, Inc. for an order granting exceptions to the permitted well location as provided for in Order No. 234-1 for the Byers Field, Adams and Arapahoe Counties, Colorado.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1. MAZE Exploration, Inc., as applicant herein, is an interested party in the subject matter of the above-referenced hearing.

2. Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

3. The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

4. On January 19, 1971 the Commission issued Order No. 234-1 which established 80-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of oil from the "J" Sand underlying lands in the Byers Field, Adams and Arapahoe Counties, Colorado. The units consist of the E/2 and W/2 or the N/2 and S/2 of each quarter section with the permitted well located in the center of the NE/4 and SW/4 of each quarter section with a tolerance of 200 feet in any direction.

5. Based on the verified applications and exhibits and testimony presented at the hearing, exceptions to the permitted location as provided for in Order No. 234-1 should be granted for, (1) a well to be drilled at a location 1000 feet from the north line and 660 feet from the east line Section 7, Township 4 South, Range 61 West, 6th P.M., Arapahoe County and, (2) a well to be drilled at a location to the permitted well location as provided for in Order No. 234-1.

6. No objection to the application was received.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that an exception to the permitted well location as provided for in Order No. 234-1 is hereby granted for, (1) a well to be drilled at a location 1000 feet from the north line and 660 feet from the east line Section 7, Township 4 South, Range 61 West, 6th P.M., Arapahoe County and, (2) a well to be drilled at a location in the center of the NW/4 SW/4 Section 35, Township 3 South, Range 62 West, 6th P.M., Adams County, Colorado, with a tolerance of 200 feet in any direction.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions contained in the above order shall become effective forthwith. ENTERED this 12th day of October 1984, as of September 17, 1984.
