CAUSE NO. 229

ORDER NO. 229-3

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on June 17, 1975 at 9 a.m., in Room 532, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of Gary Sandlin for an order granting an exception to Order No. 229-2 for a well to be located in the center of the NW¼NW¼ Section 5, Township 2 South, Range 64 West, 6th P.M., Adams County, Colorado.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That on May 18, 1971 the Commission issued its Order No. 229-2 which established 80-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of oil and associated hydro-carbons from the "D" and "J" Sands underlying the Jamboree Field, with the permitted well located in the center of the NE¼ and the SW¼ of each quarter section with a tolerance of 200 feet in any direction.

4.      That evidence presented at the hearing indicates that a well drilled at the prescribed location in the SW¼NW¼ Section 5, Township 2 South, Range 64 West, 6th P.M., would result in a dry hole; therefore, an exception should be granted for a well to be drilled in the center of the NW¼NW¼ of said Section 5, and that it be the permitted well for the unit upon which it is located.

5.      That no objection to the Applicant's request was presented.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that an exception is hereby granted for a well to be drilled in the center of the NW¼NW¼ Section 5, Township 2 South, Range 64 West, 6th P.M., Jamboree Field, Adams County, Colorado, with a tolerance of 200 feet in any direction, and that it be the permitted well for the unit upon which it is located.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions contained in the above order shall become effective herewith.

ORDERED this 17th day of June, 1975.
