ORDER NO. 228-3

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on June 20, 1977 at 9 a.m., in Room 110, State Centennial Building, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of Okmar Oil Company, for an order approving an extension to the secondary recovery program previously approved by Order No. 228-2, and to allow the injection of water into an additional well into the "J" Sand reservoir in the Badger Creek-West Field, Adams County, Colorado.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That on June 17, 1975, the Commission issued its Order No. 228-2 which approved a secondary recovery program for the "J" Sand reservoir underlying certain lands in Section 16, Township 2 South, Range 57 West, 6th P.M., Badger Creek-West Field, and authorized the injection of water into Well No. 1-16 State, located in the NEžSWž of said Section 16.

 

4.      That the secondary recovery program should be extended in the "J" Sand reservoir underlying an area consisting of leases with common ownership in Section 16, Township 2 South, Range 57 West, 6th P.M. by the injection of water into Well No. 1 Adams State, located in the NEžSEž of said Section 16.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that an extension to the secondary recovery program for the "J" Sand reservoir, underlying certain lands in Section 16, Township 2 South, Range 57 West, 6th P.M., Badger Creek-West Field, Adams County, Colorado, is hereby approved and the operator is authorized to inject water into said reservoir through Well No. 1 Adams, located in the NEžSEž of said Section 16, in such quantities as shall be reasonably determined by the operator to best achieve the maximum recovery of oil without waste.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions contained in the above order shall become effective forthwith.
