REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on August 15, 1988, at 8:30 a.m. in Room 101, Education Building, 201 East Colfax, Denver, Colorado, on the verified application of Chemco, Inc. for an order amending Order No. 213-1 and allow an additional well to be drilled on several drilling and spacing units for the production of oil and associated hydrocarbons from the Mississippian formation underlying certain the units. [sic]

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      Chemco, Inc. as applicant is an interested party in the subject matter of the above-referenced hearing.

 

2.      Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

3.      The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

4.      On February 18, 1969, the Commission authorized Order No. 213-1 to be issued by which 80-acre drilling and spacing units were established for production of oil from Mississippian formations underlying certain lands in the Cavalry Field.  The units consisting of the E1/2 and W1/2 of each quarter section with the permitted well located in the center of the NE1/4 and SW1/4 of each quarter section with a tolerance of 150 feet in any direction to avoid surface hazards.

 

5.      Based on the facts stated in the verified application and the testimony and exhibits presented before the Director as Hearing Officer on August 11, 1988, the Director recommended that the Commission approve the application and allow the drilling of additional wells for production of oil and associated hydrocarbons from the Mississippian formation.  The location of such additional wells in the drilling and spacing units located in the following described area:

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Order No. 213-1 is hereby amended and an additional well is hereby allowed to be drilled for the production of oil and associated hydrocarbons from the Mississippian formation.  The location of the drilling and spacing units are [sic] described as follows:

 

Township 18 South, Range 45 West, 6th P.M.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the above order shall become effective forthwith.
