CAUSE NO. 21

ORDER NO. 21-12

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on October 20, 1964, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing and receipt of appropriate Waivers of Service thereof, all as required by law and the rules and regulations of the Commission, on the application of Forest Oil Corporation for an order authorizing an exception to the spacing pattern established by Order No. 21-1, for the Causey No. 13 well to be drilled in the SE¼SW¼ of Section 23, Township 2 South, Range 57 West, for production of oil from the "D" sand formation underlying said lands.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That testimony presented indicates that a well located 800 feet from the south line and 1840 feet from the west line n the SE¼SW¼ of Section 23, Township 2 South, Range 57 West, 6th P.M., Adams Count)r, Colorado, would be more productive than a well located in conformance with the spacing pattern established by said Order No. 21-1, and that an exception should therefore be granted for the Causey No. 13 well to be drilled in the above described location, and that said well should be the permitted well for drilling unit on which it is located.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that an exception to the established spacing pattern for the "D" sand formation underlying the Badger Creek Field is hereby granted for the Causey No. 13 well to be located approximately 800 feet from the south line and 1840 feet from the west line in the SE¼SW¼ of Section 23, Township 2 South, Range 57 West, 6th P.M., Adams County, Colorado, and said well shall be the permitted well for the drilling unit in which it is located.

ORDERED this 20th day of October 1964.
