ORDER NO. 2-9

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

On June 20, 1952, the Commission entered its Order No. 2-8 in the above entitled matter, said Order including, among other things, Rule 3a to be effective during the six months period from July 1, 1952, to and including December 31, 1952, and Rule 3b to become effective on and after January 1, 1953.

 

This matter came on for further hearing before the Commission on November 25, 1952 at 10:00 A.M. at 704 State Capitol Annex, 14th Avenue and Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado, pursuant to notice of hearing issued by the Commission on its own motion November 7, 1952, for the purpose of ascertaining what steps have been taken by the operators in the Weber Sand Pool in the Rangely Field to prepare to comply with said Rule 3b of said Order No. 2-8 and to determine what further orders, if any, should be entered by the Commission in order that full compliance with its order No. 2-8 can best be accomplished. Representatives of the various operators in the Weber Sand Pool in the Rangely Field appeared, and testimony and evidence was heard by the Commission and the matter was then taken under advisement.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

(1)     That due notice of the times, place and purpose of the hearing in this matter was given in all respects as required by law.

 

(2)     That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said notice and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the following prescribed Order.

 

(3)     That the Order or Orders hereinafter prescribed are necessary in order that full compliance with the Commission's Order No. 2-8 can best be accomplished.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED by the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission of the State of Colorado, that the effective date of Rule 3b of its Order No. 2-8 heretofore entered in this matter on June 20, 1952, is hereby extended to April 1, 1953.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the effective period for compliance with the provisions of Rule 3a of its said Order No. 2-8 is hereby extended to be effective during the three months period from December 31, 1952, and to and including March 31, 1953.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that on or before March 1, 1953, each operator in the Weber Sand Pool of the Rangely Field shall file with the Commission its proposed plan of gas injection into the Weber Sand Pool to comply with the said Rule 3b of Order No. 2-8 on and after April 1, 1953, a copy of which shall be furnished to all other operators in the Weber Sand Pool of the Rangely Field, and which filing shall include a plat showing the leases of said operator and the producing wells located thereon, and the location of each injection well, and the injection interval in the Weber formation of each injection well, and the estimated daily volume of gas to be injected in each injection well. If the Commission receives no objection to the proposed plan of gas injection of any operator within ten days after filing the same with the Commission and after service of a copy of the same on all other operators in the Weber Sand Pool of the Rangely Field, as hereinabove provided for, then the Director of the Commission is authorized to approve or disapprove the same. If there is an objection to the proposed plan of gas injection filed with the Commission by any other operator in the Weber Sand Pool within the said ten day period, or if the proposed plan of gas injection is disapproved by the Director, then the proposed plan of gas injection shall be subject to approval by the Commission after notice and hearing. Any change in the location of a gas injection well shall be subject to approval by the Commission in the manner set out above.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this Order shall become effective forthwith.
