CAUSE NO. 181

ORDER NO. 181-2

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on December 6, 1966, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider the rescinding or modifying of Order No. 181-1 pertaining to gas injection and re-cycling [sic] in the D-2 Sand reservoir of the Saber Field.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That injection of gas into the D-2 Sand reservoir of the Saber Field, as provided in Order No. 181-1, has tended to maintain pressure; has substantially increased the ultimate recovery of oil and gas, and has tended to prevent unreasonable drainage across lease lines.

4.      That all interested parties agree that injection of gas should be continued.

5.      That in order to protect correlative rights of the various interests in said reservoir through future depletion stages, the injection of gas into injection wells should be the total gas remaining after field use and sales, divided between the two tracts in proportion to the voidage [sic] resulting from oil, gas, and water production from each tract, such distribution to be readjusted quarterly.

6.      That continued injection of gas is necessary to increase the ultimate recovery from said reservoir, and should be approved as being in the public interest for conservation.

7.      That the provisions for pressure measurements and gas-oil ratios, as outlined in Order No. 181-1, should be continued.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Order No. 181-1 shall be, and it is hereby modified to provide that reinjection of gas into previously authorized areas be based on voidage [sic] resulting from production from such areas, with injection in proportion to said voidage [sic].

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend, or repeal any and/or all of the above order.

ORDERED this 6th day of December 1966, and effective forthwith.
