ORDER NO. 152-2

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on May 18, 1965, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of Sinclair Oil & Gas Company for an order approving conversion to a water disposal well in the "O" sand formation, of its Arthur Sindt Well #9 located in the Padroni-West Field, Logan County, Colorado.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That the "O" sand formation constitutes a common source of supply of oil and gas underlying the Padroni-West Field.

 

4.      That testimony presented at the hearing indicates that Applicant's proposed project for conversion of its Arthur Sindt Well #9, located 2230 feet from the north line and 1720 feet from the west line of Section 31, Township 10 North, Range 52 West, 6th P.M., Logan County, Colorado, to a disposal well for injection into the "O" sand formation the water produced with oil from wells in the Padroni-West Field,may [sic] increase the ultimate recovery of oil from said field, and should therefore be approved as being in the public interest for conservation.

 

5.      That avoidable waste of oil and gas will be prevented by the operations proposed by Applicant, and the correlative rights of all parties in the Padroni-West Field will not be adversely affected and will be reasonably protected under such a plan of operation, and that this application should therefore be granted.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that Applicant's proposal to dispose of produced water into the "O" sand reservoir in the Padroni-West Field through the Arthur Sindt Well #9, located 2230 feet from the north line and 1720 feet from the west line of Section 31, Township 10 North, Range 52 West, 6th P.M., Logan County, Colorado, is hereby approved.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above order.
