ORDER NO. 144-2

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 20, 1960, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 720, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission’s own motion to consider amending Rule 1 of Order No. 144-1, so as to better define the producing intervals of the Mesaverde and Frontier formations in the Big Gulch Field.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That on June 21, 1960, the Commission issued its Order No. 144-1 that, among other things, contains Rule 1 which establishes drilling and spacing units for the production of gas from the Mesaverde and Frontier formations underlying the Big Gulch Field, Moffat County, Colorado.

 

4.      That, in order to better define the producing intervals of the Mesaverde and Frontier formations, said Rule 1 of Order No. 144-1 should be amended to read as set forth in the following order.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Rule 1 of Order No. 144-1, Cause No. 144, shall be and the same hereby is amended to read as follows:

 

"Rule 1. Six Hundred Forty (640) acre drilling and spacing units shall be, and the same are hereby established for the production of gas from that portion of the Mesaverde formation identified in and correlative to the approximate depth from 3690 feet to 3770 feet in the electric log of the Intex Oil Company Alpha State 1-16 well located in the SE¼ SE¼ of Section 16, Township 7 North, Range 93 West, 6th P.M.; and the Frontier formation identified and correlative to the approximate depth from 8570 feet to 8660 feet in the electric log of said well, common sources of supply underlying the following described lands in Moffat County, Colorado, to-wit:  

 


 

Sections

8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24,

Township 7 North, Range 93 West of the P.M.,

 

and such area shall henceforth be known as the Big Gulch Field."

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above order.
