CAUSE NO. 133

ORDER NO. 133-2

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on November 21, 1983 at 9:00 a.m., in the Oil Supreme Court Chambers, 2nd Floor, State Capitol Building, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of Texaco U.S.A., for approval to commingle in the wellbore, production from the Wasatch with that from the Ft. Union-Lance-Lewis and Mesaverde formations in Well No. 1 Van Schaick Unit, located in the NW1/4SE1/4 Section 24, Township 12 North, Range 101 West, Well No. 6 F.S. Duncan "B", located in the NW1/4SE1/4 Section 20, Township 12 North, Range 100 West and Well No. 1 F.S. Duncan Unit-3, located in the NW1/4NW1/4, Section 19, Township 12 North, Range 100 West, 6th P.M., Moffat County, Colorado.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      Texaco U.S.A., as applicant herein, is an interested party in the subject matter of the above-referenced hearing.

2.      Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

3.      The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

4.      On October 5, 1983, Texaco U.S.A., filed with the Commission an application for administrative approval to wellbore commingle production from the Wasatch with that from the Ft. Union-Lance-Lewis and Mesaverde formations in Well No. 1. Van Schaick Unit, located in the NW1/4SE1/4 Section 24, Township 12 North, Range 101 West, Well No. 6 F.S. Duncan "B", located in the NW1/4SE1/4 Section 20, Township 12 North, Range 100 West and Well No. 1. F.S. Duncan Unit-3, located in the NW1/4NW1/4, Section 19, Township 12 North, Range 100 West, 6th P.M., Moffat County, Colorado.

5.      Evidence presented at the hearing indicates that the reservoir pressures are in a depletion stage and commingling in the wellbore of production from the Wasatch with other production no longer presents a problem.

6.      Rule 3 of Order No. 133-1 should be amended to include the Wasatch and allow commingling of production with the Ft. Union-Lance-Lewis and Mesaverde formations, and will therefore allow the request of Texaco USA.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Rule 3 of Order No. 133-1 for the Hiawatha West Field, Moffat County, Colorado is hereby amended to read as follows:

Rule 3.    Dual completion, with commingling in the wellbore, for production of gas from the Wasatch, Ft. Union-Lance-Lewis and Mesaverde formations is hereby permitted.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions contained in the above order shall become effective forthwith.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above orders.

ENTERED this 20th day of December, 1983, as of November 21, 1983.
