ORDER NO. 112-3

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 26, 1958, at 10 a.m., in the Game Room of the Albany Hotel, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of the United Oil and Gas Company, Inc., et al, for an order establishing a 240-acre drilling an spacing unit for the production of gas from the Mesaverde formation in Section 27, Township 34 North, Range 10 West, N.M.P.M., La Plata County, Colorado.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects, as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embrace in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That the United Oil and Gas Company, Inc. holds assignments of oil and gas leases covering 240 acres, described as the Southwest Quarter (SW¼) and the West Half of the Southeast Quarter (W½ SE¼) of Section Twenty-seven (27), Township Thirty-four (34) North, Range Ten (10) West, N.M.P.M., La Plata County, Colorado and that the East Half of the Southeast Quarter (E½ SE¼) of said section is unleased Ute Tribal lands.

 

4.      That the South Half (S½) of Section Twenty-seven (27), Township Thirty-four (34) North, Range Ten (10) West, N.M.P.M., La Plata County, Colorado, should be designated as a 320-acre drilling and spacing unit for the production of gas from the Mesaverde formation; and that the United Oil and Gas Company, Inc. well No. 2 McCulloch, located in the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (NW¼ SE¼ SW¼) of said Section Twenty-seven (27), should be the permitted well for said 320-acre drilling and spacing unit.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the South Half (S½) of Section Twenty-seven (27), Township Thirty-four (34) North, Range Ten (10) West, N.M.P.M. in the Ignacio-Blanco Field, La Plata County, Colorado, is hereby designated as a Three Hundred Twenty (320) acre drilling and spacing unit for the production of gas from the Mesaverde formation; and the United Oil and Gas Company, Inc. well No. 2 McCulloch, located in the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (NW¼ SE¼ SW¼) of said Section Twenty-seven (27) shall be the permitted well for said 320-acre drilling and spacing unit.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter amend or repeal the above order.
