ORDER NO. 112-17

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on November 27, 1962, at 10 a.m., in Room 320E, State Capitol, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing and receipt of Waiver of Service, as required by law and the rules and regulations of the Commission, on the application of the Amerada Petroleum Corporation for an order authorizing, because of the location of the Allison voluntary unit [sic], two exception [sic] to the spacing patterns established by Order No. 112-6 for the Dakota and Mesaverde formations, by the redesignation of two drilling units in Township 32 North, Range 7 West, N.M.P.M., La Plata County, Colorado.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That in Section 23, Township 32 North, Range 7 West, N.M.P.M., the boundary of the Allison Unit does not coincide with the boundaries of the drilling units established by Order No. 112-6 of this Commission.

 

4. That in order to prevent waste and to protect the correlative rights of owners of the tracts of land between the Allison Unit and the regular drilling units to the west, two drilling units should be redesignated as follows:

 

 

Township 32 North, Range 7 West, N.M.P.M.

 

 

 

Mesaverde Unit

Section 22:

E½E½

 

Section 23:

W½, W½E½

 

 

 

Dakota Unit

Section 23:

W½, W½E½

 

and the permitted well for each of these units should be located approximately 1980 feet from the north and west lines of said Section 23.


 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, Rules 2 and 3 of Order No. 112-6 shall be and the same are hereby amended by the redesignation of two drilling units to be hereafter defined as follows:

 

 

Township 32 North, Range 7 West, N.M.P.M.

 

 

 

Mesaverde Unit

Section 22:

E½E½

 

Section 23:

W½, W½E½

 

 

 

Dakota Unit

Section 23:

W½, W½E½

 

and the permitted well for each of these units shall be located approximately 1980 feet from the north and west lines of said Section 23.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend, or repeal any and/or all of the above order.
