CAUSE NO. 109

 

ORDER NO. 109-3

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on July 22, 1958, at 10 a.m., in Room 330 State Office Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of Compass Exploration for an order granting permission and authority to drill a well in the NW¼ of Section Seven, Township Eight (8) South, Range One Hundred Two (102) West, 6th P.M. Garfield County, Colorado.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That on October 15, 1957, the Commission issued Order No. 109-1 which defined the Garmesa Area and specified that the drilling of additional wells within the Garmesa Area shall not be allowed without notice and hearing; and that on April 22, 1958, the Commission issued Order No. 109-2 which, among other things, extended the Garmesa Area.

 

4.      That in order to project the correlative rights of all parties, and to allow each owner and producer an opportunity to produce his just and equitable share of the gas underlying the Garmesa Area, permission should be granted to drill a well in the Center of the NE¼ NW¼ of Section 7, Township 8 South, Range 102 West, 6th P.M., Garfield County, Colorado, which location falls within the Garmesa Area.

 

5.      That the officer of the United States having jurisdiction over the Federal lands involved has given his approval to the drilling of said well.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that permission is hereby granted for a well to be drilled in the Center of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (C NE¼ NW¼) of Section Seven (7), Township Eight (8) South, Range One Hundred Two (102) West, 6th P.M., Garfield County, Colorado, which location falls within the Garmesa Area.
