                                                             REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

                        This cause came on for hearing before the Commission at 8:30 a.m. on December 20, 1993 in the Boettcher Auditorium, Colorado History Museum, 1300 Broadway, Denver, Colorado, on the Commission staff request to require certain wells operated by Amoco Production Company and located in Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26 of Township 35 North, Range 7 West, N.M.P.M., to be ordered shut-in at the Director's discretion to acquire pressure transient data.

 

                                                                                 FINDINGS

 

                        The Commission finds as follows:

 

                        1.  Amoco Production Company as applicant herein is an interested party in the subject matter of the above‑referenced hearing.

 

                        2.  Notice of hearing was given to Amoco Production Company prior to the hearing.

 

                        3.  The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said notice and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

                        4.  Richard Griebling, Director of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, on behalf of the Pine River Investigative Team, requested that the Commission issue an order for the below-listed wells located in Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26 of Township 35 North, Range 7 West, N.M.P.M., to be shut-in at the Director's discretion to acquire pressure transient data:

                        5.  Amoco Production Company testified that the company wished to reserve its right to object to any of the wells that may be ordered shut-in and to the length of time they are requested to be shut-in by appearing before the Commission to seek relief.

 

                        6.  Based upon the request from the Commission staff and providing Amoco the right to object to which wells are ordered shut-in and the length of time to be shut-in, the Commission should order the wells named in Finding 4 to be shut-in for a length of time and at a date to be determined by the Director, for the purpose of acquiring pressure transient data.

 

                                                                                 O R D E R

 

                        NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the below-listed wells located in Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26 of Township 35 North, Range 7 West, N.M.P.M., shall be shut-in at the Director's discretion, for a length of time and at a date to be determined by the Director, for the purpose of acquiring pressure transient data:

                        IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that Amoco Production Company shall have the right to object to any of the wells that may be ordered shut-in and to the length of time they are requested to be shut-in by appearing before the Commission to seek relief.

 

                        IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions in the above order shall become effective forthwith.
