Enforcement: The Commission has a robust enforcement program to ensure operator compliance. Information, data and guidance regarding the COGCC's Enforcement Program can be found here.
Forms: The Commission has established official forms that operators and others are required to use for communications with the agency.
Hearings: The Commissioners meet roughly ten times annually to discuss important regulatory issues, vote on proposed rules, and review applications and orders before the COGCC. Please view the hearings schedule for information regarding dates, locations, and topics of discussion for each commission hearing.
Operator Guidance: The Commission provides detailed and timely guidance to operators with regards to the rules, regulations, policies, and relevant forms currently in effect.
Orders: Orders allow the official creation or modification of rules by the Commission. Specifically, orders address issues such as well spacing, increased well density, pooling, and exception locations. Further, orders allow the COGCC to handle enforcement and administrative responsibilities.
Policies: The Commission establishes policies that provide detailed guidelines and clarity within the rules and regulations framework.
Rules: The Commission provides rules and regulations to establish operational standards and requirements for industry activity in the state.
