ORDER NO. 9-2

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on July 29, 1954, at 10:00 A.M., Room 704 state Capitol Annex, Sherman Street and 14th Avenue, Denver, Colorado, after notice of hearing as required by law, upon the application of the Shell Oil Company for an order from the Commission to delete the West Half (W/2) of Section Seventeen (17), Township Nine (9) North, Range Fifty-three (53) West of the Sixth (6th) P.M., from the area described in its Order No. 9-1, Walker Field, Logan County, Colorado, and add the same to the Mt. Hope-North Field, in Logan County Colorado.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place, and purpose of the Hearing has been given in all respects, as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed Order.

 

3.      That, on July 7, 1952, the Commission issued its Order No. 9-1 in Cause No. 9, Walker Field, establishing 20-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of oil and gas from the "J" sand of the Dakota Series, and defining the area to be known as the Walker Field.

 

4.      That subsequent development reveals that the West Half (W/2) of Section Seventeen (17), Township Nine (9) North, Range Fifty-three (53) West of the Sixth (6th) P.M., Logan County, Colorado, should be deleted from the Walker Field, where production is from the "J" sand, only, and included in the Mr. Hope-North Field.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, that the following Order shall apply to the Walker Field, in addition to other applicable rules and regulations and orders of the Commission heretofore adopted and not in conflict herewith:

 

Rule 1.    That the West Half (W/2) of Section Seventeen (17), Township Nine (9) North, Range Fifty-three (53) West of the Sixth (6th) P.M., Logan County, Colorado, be, and the same is hereby deleted from the area described in Order No. 9-1 of Cause No. 9, Walker Field, Logan County, Colorado, leaving the area included in the Walker Field as follows.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend, or repeal any and/or all of the above rules and regulations.
