ORDER NO. 25-10

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 17, 1963, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of The British-American Oil Producing Company, as Unit Operator of the "D" Sand Reservoir Unit Area, on its own behalf and on behalf of the other owners and producers within the Unit Area for an order authorizing re-entry of the Shell Peterson No. 3 dry hole in order to equip this well for water injection so as to prevent migration of oil from said Unit Area and thereby protect the correlative rights of all unit interest owners.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That on December 15, 1959, the Commission issued its Order No. 25-9 which, among other things, approved a unitization agreement covering operations of the "D" sand reservoir of the Graylin-Northwest Unit Area and authorized a water injection program for the "D" sand reservoir underlying said Unit Area.

 

4.      That in order to prevent migration of oil from said Unit Area, the Unit Operator should have authority to re-enter the Shell Peterson No, 3 dry hole located in the SW¼ NW¼ of Section 18, Township 8 North., Range 53 West 6th P.M., Logan County, Colorado, and equip said well for injection of water into the "D" sand reservoir underlying the Unit Area.

 

5.      That according to geological and engineering information available, injection of water in said well is necessary to protect the correlative rights of all unit interest owners.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that The British-American Oil Producing Company, as Unit Operator of the "D" Sand Reservoir Area, is hereby permitted and authorized to re-enter the Shell Peterson No. 3 dry hole located in the SW¼ NW¼ of Section 18, Township 8 North, Range 53 West, 6th P M. Logan County, Colorado, and equip said well for injection of water into the "D" sand reservoir underlying said Unit Area.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend, or repeal any and/or all of the above order.
