BEFORE THE OIL AND GAS CONSERVATION COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF COLORADO
IN THE MATTER OF THE PROMULGATION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF FIELD RULES TO GOVERN OPERATIONS IN THE BENNETT FIELD, ADAMS COUNTY, COLORADO	) ) ) )	CAUSE NO. 227 ORDER NO. 227-3

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on January 19, 1971, at 10 a.m., in the Consul Room, Quality Motel, 1840 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing, as required by law, on the application of Pan American Petroleum Corporation, for an order amending Rule 1 of Order No. 227-1 to delete the lands included in Area B in the Bennett Field, Adams County, Colorado.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That on July 21, 1970, the Commission issued its Order No. 227-1 which, among other things, established 80-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of oil and associated hydrocarbons from the "D" and "J" Sands underlying lands designated as Area A and Area B in said Field.

4.      That because of subsequent development in the field, Rule 1 of Order No. 227-1 should be amended and the following described lands, designated as Area B, should be deleted:

AREA B:	Township 2 South, Range 63 West, 6th P.M.
	Section	34:	All	Section	36:	All
	Section	35:	All
	Township 3 South, Range 63 West, 6th P.M.
	Section	1:	All	Section	10:	All
	Section	2:	All	Section	11:	All
	Section	3:	All	Section	12:	All

and said lands should be made subject to the provisions of the general rules and regulations of the Commission.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the lands as described in Finding 3 herein, are hereby deleted from the provisions of Rule 1, Order No. 227-1 and said lands shall be made subject to the provisions of the general rules and regulations of the Commission, and that the lands remaining in the Bennett Field, Adams County, subject to the provisions of Order No. 227-1, are described as follows:

AREA A:	Township 3 South, Range 63 West, 6th P.M.
	Section	16:	All	Section	21:	All
	Section	17:	All	Section	28:	All
	Section	18:	All	Section	29:	All
	Section	19:	All	Section	30:	All
	Section	20:	All

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any part of and/or all of the above Order.
