CAUSES NO. 11 and  NO. 12

 

ORDER NO. 11-2

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

These causes came on for hearing before the Commission on December 14, 1965, in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider the vacating of Order No. 11-1 and Order No. 12-1 pertaining to 20-acre spacing in the Dale Field.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice; and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      As a result of recent development and the present state of depletion of the "D" and "J" sand reservoirs of the Dale Field, Order No. 11-1 and Order No. 12-1, and subsequent, orders pertaining to 20-acre spacing of the "D" and "J" sand reservoirs of the Dale Field, are no longer necessary and should be vacated, and provisions of this Commission's general rules and regulations should prevail.

 

4.      That all wells previously drilled in accord with provisions of said Order No. 11-1 and Order No. 12-1, as subsequently amended, should be authorized as exceptions to Rule 316 of the Rules and Regulations of this Commission; and that any well previously drilled should be allowed to be recompleted in any formation underlying said Dale Field, regardless of the location of such well.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that all orders in Cause No. 11 and Cause No. 12 relating to 20-acre spacing of the "D" and "J" sand reservoirs of the Dale Field are hereby vacated, and operations in said area shall hereafter be governed by the general rules and regulations of this Commission.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the locations of all wells drilled previous to this order; in the area defined in Order No. 11-1 and Order No. 12-1, as subsequently amended; shall be allowed and not held in conflict with Rule 316 of the Rules and Regulations of this Commission; and any well drilled previous to this order may be recompleted in any formation in said area, regardless of the location of such well.
